I have a Canon CanoScan 8400F, which cost about USD $ 150 (not sure how it compared to U.S. $).

You can have two strips of 6 Marco 35 mm scan at a time or four mounted slides or 3 photos 6x6 medium format camera.

The resolution is 3200x3200 dpi. I am not convinced that the optics are available for this kind of resolution, but can not at least a job and acceptable prints up to about 11x14 (35mm). He has surprisingly good with medium format film. I would have no hesitation in print format scanning this scanner 30x40, although I never personally tested.
